Chrestomathy of Judeo-Persian Literature is a collection of selected text excerpts, including inscriptions, letters and legal documents, theological writings as tafsīrs and Halakhas, Bible translations as well as historiographies and poetry (epic and liturgical) accompanied by grammatical, philological and lexical commentaries. The texts are supplemented by relevant notes on historical, cultural, and religious background information. The texts, commentaries and notes are conceived as a pedagogical tool for students and researchers of both Persian and Jewish studies. The cheristomathy covers the Judeo-Persian texts, from the 8th century insriptional evidences of the Early Judeo-Persian up to the modern and contemporary Literature of the 19th century. Having completed the first draft, I am currently revising and annotating the text for a publication in progress.
